Founding of Renewit Cleaning & Restoration

Alessi is a graduate of Irondequoit High School.  When he was 19, he moved to Hawaii and found a job in home construction.  He came back to Rochester a couple years later and started working in heating and air conditioning.  It was during this time that Alessi and Jake Adolph decided to start their own business and they co-founded Renewit Cleaning and Restoration in 2007.  Alessi and Adolph built up their business by traveling to areas recently devastated by major storms.  The pair traveled to Galveston, TX in September 2008 to help out with the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

While on this trip, Adolph became very ill and was later diagnosed with cancer.  He passed away less than 6 months later, leaving Alessi to handle the business himself.  “I thought, ‘How am I going to survive?’ I became a one-man show, essentially . . . and I burned myself out.”

Fortunately, Rebis, a licensed electrician with a background in construction, was happy to join Alessi with Renewit Cleaning and Restoration.
