RestorationMaster Sponsors Michael Clayton and City Garage Motorsports in ARCA Menards Series Race
RestorationMaster took its commitment to teamwork and fast response from Tampa Bay to the racetrack this summer, backing City Garage Motorsports (CGM) and team co-owner Michael Clayton during his ARCA Menards Series East debut at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
The RestorationMaster name and logo appeared on Clayton’s No. 5 Ford for the LiUNA! 150 presented by Ideal Door on July 24, bringing together two Florida-based organizations with a shared appreciation for preparation, teamwork, and showing up ready when the pressure is on.
For RestorationMaster, the partnership offers an opportunity to connect with motorsports fans while representing the Tampa Bay community on a national stage.
RestorationMaster Joins the No. 5 Ford at Indianapolis Raceway Park
The July 24 race was a combination event for the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East at the 0.686-mile Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park oval in Brownsburg, Indiana. It was also an important event for City Garage Motorsports. For the first time during the 2026 season, the Lakeland, Florida-based team entered a second car in ARCA competition. Clayton drove the No. 5 Ford alongside CGM’s regular No. 85 entry.

For RestorationMaster, seeing its logo on the No. 5 provided more than brand exposure. It represented a partnership between two organizations with strong Florida roots.
RestorationMaster serves homeowners and businesses throughout Tampa and the surrounding Tampa Bay area, while City Garage Motorsports operates from nearby Lakeland.
Even though the race took place hundreds of miles away in Indiana, the partnership brought a piece of Central Florida to one of motorsports’ historic short tracks.
A Special ARCA Start for Michael Clayton
Clayton isn’t simply another driver in the City Garage Motorsports lineup. As one of the team’s co-owners and its director of operations, he has played an important role in building and operating CGM behind the scenes. At Indianapolis Raceway Park, however, he traded his usual operational responsibilities for a seat behind the wheel.
The race marked Clayton’s ARCA Menards Series East debut and his third career ARCA national start.
That made the event particularly meaningful for the team and its supporters. Rather than watching one of his team’s cars compete from pit road, Clayton had the opportunity to experience the race from the driver’s seat at a track that has challenged generations of competitors.

Racing and Restoration Share a Focus on Being Ready
Motorsports and disaster restoration may seem like very different industries, but both depend heavily on preparation, teamwork, and the ability to respond when conditions suddenly change.
A racing team can’t wait until the green flag drops to start preparing. Cars have to be inspected, crews need to understand their responsibilities, and everyone must be ready to react when something unexpected happens.
Property restoration operates with a similar sense of urgency.
When a Tampa Bay homeowner discovers a burst pipe, flooded room, fire, mold problem, or severe storm damage, there isn’t much time to figure out the next move. The restoration crew needs to arrive prepared with the equipment, training, and experience necessary to begin mitigating the damage.
Patrick Panayotov, Business Partner at RestorationMaster, explained that connection:
“Race fans are some of the most loyal people you’ll meet, and it means a lot to have our name riding on the No. 5 with a team like City Garage Motorsports. On the track or at your front door after a fire or a flood, you want a crew that shows up ready to work. That’s what we do every day for the Tampa Bay community.”
That shared emphasis on preparation and performance made City Garage Motorsports a natural fit for RestorationMaster.
A Challenging Day at a Historic Short Track
The No. 5 Ford’s race ultimately ended earlier than the team had hoped. Clayton developed a vibration and brought the car behind the wall after completing 28 of the scheduled 150 laps. Although the result wasn’t what the team wanted, simply competing at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park represented an important milestone.
The short track has a long relationship with ARCA competition dating back to 1971 and has tested numerous drivers who later advanced through the ranks of American stock-car racing.
For Clayton, the race added another ARCA start to his experience while giving RestorationMaster the opportunity to support a fellow Florida organization at a nationally recognized motorsports venue.
RestorationMaster’s Support of City Garage Motorsports Continues
The Indianapolis race isn’t the end of the partnership. RestorationMaster’s support of City Garage Motorsports will continue on the No. 5 Ford at upcoming races, bringing the brand in front of motorsports fans at additional short tracks around the country.
For RestorationMaster, racing provides an opportunity to reach a passionate audience while remaining connected to the company’s Florida roots. But while the RestorationMaster logo travels with the No. 5, the company’s primary focus remains right here in Tampa Bay.
Every day, property owners face emergencies that require their own kind of rapid response. Water can spread through a home within minutes. Smoke and soot can travel far beyond the room where a fire started. Florida’s humidity can accelerate mold problems after water intrusion, while severe weather can leave homes and commercial buildings requiring immediate stabilization and cleanup.
When those situations occur, having an experienced restoration team ready to respond can make a significant difference in limiting additional damage.

Rooted in Florida, Ready When Tampa Bay Needs Help

But the partnership also reflects something central to RestorationMaster’s work: when the unexpected happens, having the right team ready matters.
Whether that means getting the No. 5 Ford ready for another green flag or helping a Tampa Bay homeowner recover after a flood, fire, mold problem, or severe storm, preparation and response can determine what happens next.
RestorationMaster is proud to support Michael Clayton and City Garage Motorsports as the No. 5 continues its racing schedule and equally proud to continue serving the homeowners and businesses that call Tampa Bay home.
