Fires can occur at any time in both residential and commercial properties, causing extensive damage and posing serious risks to lives and structures. The immediate damage from flames is only part of the problem—smoke, soot, and harmful byproducts can travel throughout your property, leading to corrosion, discoloration, and etching that further compromise your belongings. The key to limiting long-term damage is quick restoration once the fire is out, minimizing the spread of destruction and restoring your property to its pre-loss condition.

Approximately 80% of these fires are residential, with kitchen fires being the leading cause. Damage Caused by Fire
The damage caused by a fire starts with the flames themselves as they burn through everything in their path. The fire can reduce organic materials like wood to ash and greatly char other types of materials, including furniture, personal belongings, and structural elements which can leave homes and buildings unstable.
As the fire burns through materials, the combustion process creates corrosive byproducts like smoke, soot, and oily residue. These materials can spread beyond areas affected by the fire and cause damage such as tarnishing and etching to the surfaces and materials where they settle. Soot and smoke will continue to spread after the fire is out which is why starting the restoration quickly is so important.
Smoke odors are another lingering issue following a fire. These odors linger because the odor particles get absorbed into porous materials. It takes professional deodorization methods to effectively remove residual smoke odors.

Our technicians can clean these objects with powerful chemical cleaners to make sure they look as good as new.
Fire damage can also leave your property with lingering smoke odors that are difficult and expensive to eliminate. As soon as the fire has been fully put out, we’ll begin working to remove the smoke and odor from your property. "Had a great experience working with Marshall when we had an emergency leak at my mom’s house. He immediately started working to salvage what we could. I felt like he absolutely understood the urgency, and treated my mom like his own! He and the rest of the team were super easy to work with and answered our (many) questions along the way. They were very transparent about the process which was extremely helpful as this was our first time with this kind of issue in 30+ years of owning the house. We so appreciate ProTech for aiding us during our time of need."

"My experience with ProTech was wonderful from the first visit thru the last. Ben did a great job of evaluating the work that needed to be done and explaining everything to me. Frank and Sergio were great to work with because they were pleasant AND they were so very careful about everything they did. All in all, I give the ProTech team an A+!"

"I had a pipe burst and subsequent leakage into my basement. At first I thought that we maybe stopped it in time since we could not see obvious damage but Marshall at ProTech said it would be a good idea to check it out anyway and came out within a couple of days. I’m so glad he did since there was more damage than we anticipated. Marshall explained the damage thoroughly using his imaging techniques and provided a quote within the day. Pricing was good and our insurance accepted the proposal immediately. The ProTech team was able to do the water damage mitigation about a week after the incident and on a Saturday no less. Everything was done super quickly and professionally. While I do not want to deal with any more water damage, the repairs using ProTech were painless. I would recommend this company and especially Marshall to anyone in the same situation."
